About the SF Shines Design Services Grant
Apply for free architectural drawings from a licensed architect (if your project requires multiple drawings, you may have to pay for some of the drawings)
To be eligible for this grant, your business must:
Have a storefront that serves the public
Must plan on staying in business for the next year
Have less than $2.5M in gross revenue in your most recent tax return
Meet income requirements (listed below) or be a nonprofit:
1. Count how many people are in your family.
A family is a single person or a group of people who live together, regardless of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status.
2. Use your 2021 tax return if you have filed or estimate your total income for the last 12 months.
3. Check if your income qualifies.
Family of 1 must have an income less than $63,950
Family of 2 must have an income less than $73,100
Family of 3 must have an income less than $82,250
Family of 4 must have an income less than $91,350
Family of 5 must have an income less than $98,700
Family of 6 must have an income less than $106,000
Family of 7 must have an income less than $113,300
Family of 8 or more must have an income less than $120,600
Required information:
Business account number (from your business license)
Gross revenue from your most recent tax return
Number of full-time and part-time employees
What kind of service are you interested in receiving?
Shared Spaces compliance
Food service & health code compliance
Expanding into a new space (pre-lease storefront report)
Helps you evaluate the storefront before signing the lease

Have you received a notice of violation for your storefront or Shared Spaces?
If yes, note violation type, violation number and agency (Department of Health, Building Department etc.)
